After one shake of the earth, there were more than 7.000 people dead, 10.000 injured, 70.000 homes destroyed and cut 3.000.000 people of water and food. About 30% of Nepal has seriously been hit by the Earthquakes over the past three weeks.
From June 2014 until March 2015 we lived in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. During our stay we worked, travelled and enjoyed our time in that amazing country. We have seen the immense beauty, of the country, but foremost of the people of Nepal. This we would like to show you with the most beautiful images of our stay in Nepal. Some of the extraordinary and unique spots on the pictures are now missing or severely damaged.
The people of this already impoverished country have received an incredible blow, but let nevertheless see a tremendous resilience and commitment to rebuild the nation. We want to support this effort by raising funds for One To Watch (OTW).
OTW works has been working with entrepreneurs in Nepal over the last years and are now supporting their relief efforts. Together OTW and their entrepreneurs were able to help very quickly, effective and direct. Also, in the rebuild phase entrepreneurs are hugely important. OTW will help the companies to go back to business. Once businesses are running, people can go back to work, shops are stocked and the rebuilding is going on. Ultimately, any investment in the economy will ensure that Nepal restores durable.
Read more about OTW on their website (only in dutch).
You can help the people of Nepal by donating to the One to Watch bank account: NL12 TRIO 0254731619 with the note: “NEPAL NOODHULP NU”.
